Winter Wonderland Martini OR Santa Hat Martini – Do You Have to Choose?
We posted these beauties on Instagram and received a lot of requests for these 2 holiday cocktail recipes. They are equally yummy and SUPER easy to make. I found the basic recipes for them online and then tweaked them to our liking . . . I mean, who doesn’t love adding coconut to EVERYTHING 😜.
The light corn syrup serves two purposes: it is sticky enough to hold the coconut while also adding a bit of sweetness to the drink. I tend to work my way around the rim as I drink these – licking up every ounce of coconut and sweetness. Is that so wrong?!? lol
We promise, these will be a hit at your next festive gathering! OR equally enjoyable for just yourself at night. Relaxing. Post-package wrapping. Or heck, even while you’re wrapping. 😉
Chill glasses Light Corn Syrup Coconut
PREP
Prepping is super easy – and conveniently the same – it’s just the ingredients that differ. Because of this, I think you can easily serve both at a party or family function.
If you are planning to serve these at a party, I would recommend (for ease of distribution) setting up your bar with syrup and coconut already on separate small plates. For added sparkle to your rim, add sanding sugar to the coconut . . . you’re welcome. 😉
Chilling a martini glass – whether the glass is placed in a freezer beforehand, or chilled with water and ice – is something that Kathleen taught me and a must when serving up martinis. However, this would not be practical for a party setting or necessarily mandatory. So if you’re preparing these to enjoy by the fire, then I would recommend chilling the glass. But for a party setting, you can skip that step.
MIXING, SHAKING & SERVING
Rim your glass with the syrup – don’t go overboard. You don’t want the syrup to messily drip down the sides of the glass. Press the prepared rim into the coconut, then set aside.
Fill your martini shaker to the top with ice. Add the ingredients (which are listed in the recipes below). Shake vigorously so that the drink serves ice cold.
That’s pretty much it . . . besides enjoying them !
What you need. Pour! Enjoy!
Are you ready for some deliciousness? Ok! I’ll shut up now and leave you all with the recipes (makes 2 martinis):
- WINTER WONDERLAND MARTINI
- 3 oz – Godiva White Liqueur
- 3 oz – Vanilla Vodka
- Dash of Cream
- For a more festive flavor, you can replace the cream with Coffeemate’s Peppermint Mocha and garnish with a candy cane!
- ENJOY!
- SANTA HAT MARTINI
- 3 oz – Dekuyper Red Apple Schnapps
- 3 oz – Vodka
- 4 oz – Cranberry Juice
- ENJOY!
For variety, and to make it a little more diet friendly – you can use 2% milk instead of the cream in the Winter Wonderland Martini. It’s just as good. For the Santa Hat Martini, we use diet cranberry juice. Because yanno – we’re on a diet. 😜
I hope you enjoy these as much as we do! Please let us know what you think!
